Toho Tenax Europe’s competences include various application fields such as aerospace, mechanical engineering, automotive and shipbuilding industries, medicine and leisure – everywhere where maximum performance and safety is required.
Toho Tenax Europe is a reliable source of carbon fibers for the aerospace industry. In 1987, a part made of Tenax® carbon fiber achieved the qualification for aerospace for the first time. This has been documented ever since by more than 100 qualifications of Tenax® carbon fibers at all major manufacturers’ of civil aircraft, helicopters, propulsion systems and leisure aircraft. The excellent product quality of Tenax® carbon fibers is the basic prerequisite for this success.
Industrial applications profit from our long-standing experience, for example in components that are subject to strict quality control regulations such as pressure vessels, shafts and rollers, flywheels, concrete reinforcements and many other machinery-type and plant components. In addition, Tenax® carbon fibers have been used for many years in mass applications such as injection moulded electronic covers, automotive parts, and there is enormous development potential for future applications in these fields.
In 2009 Toho Tenax Europe received the lab certification from Germanischer Lloyd. The certificate is vailid for the laboratories in Wuppertal and Oberbruch und approves the technical competence in the field of mechanical testing.
