Toho Tenax Europe will be exhibiting for the third time at the CFK Valley Convention. New products will be presentented to optimize current applications and to create new application areas for the aerospace and industrial sectors.

Products

The already well established Tenax® carbon fiber will be exhibited as filament yarn and short fibers. Additionally, Toho Tenax will present new products:

Tenax® Net Shape Preforms

• Toho Tenax developed a new technology to manufacture preforms in a totally automated process with a special carbon fiber filament yarn, without any intermediate steps.

Tenax® ThermoPlastics

• Tenax® TPUD (ThermoPlastic UniDirectional) is a thermoplastic unidirectional prepreg consisting of a Tenax® carbon fiber with tailored sizing for thermoplastic applications. The tape is available in a wide range of widths (6 to 300 mm).
• Tenax® TPCL (ThermoPlastic Consolidated Laminate) are thermoplastic plates to be used in a subsequent process of transformation to create parts. Several layers of woven thermoplastic prepreg are consolidated to such plates.

CFK Valley Convention

The fourth CFK-Valley Stade Convention will be taking place on 15 and 16 June 2010 at Stade, Germany. The conference will present main topics from latest developments in the technologies, processes and construction methods of composite lightweight construction in research and practice. The CFK-Valley Stade Convention’s accompanying exhibition provides an excellent and recognized platform to find out about the latest solutions in the target field of composite lightweight construction.
