Worldwide unified appearance of the Toho Tenax Group

The worldwide unified appearance of the Toho Tenax Group is an essential part of our corporate policy. This will strengthen of our global identification and at the same time it will offer you higher transparency of our business structure. For this reason we have already accomplished several reorganisations in the past: By April 1st, 2005 the company names within our group were unified and we obtained the name Toho Tenax Europe GmbH. Furthermore, the globally unified brand name Tenax® for our carbon fiber was established in January 2006.

New nomenclature for Tenax® short fibers

As a next step to a world-wide unified appearance of the Toho Tenax Group, on January 1st, 2009 we will establish a new nomenclature for Tenax® short fibers at all sites.

Change of products from American manufacturing site

We are pleased to introduce our new range of products of chopped and milled Tenax® carbon fibers. These products exhibit outstanding properties in processing and in the final application, in thermoplastics and thermosets. The introduction of new short fibers does not only have the purpose to extend and improve our product portfolio, the new fiber types will in fact substitute the previous products from our American manufacturing site (Tenax®-A). This is our reaction to the ongoing restrictions in the supply chain, however it enables us to offer an attractive product program and to increase supply reliability and quality. 

Products of Japanese and German origin (Tenax®-J und Tenax®-E) are not affected of this replacement and are available technically unchanged.
